Job REF: MN 8268Key ResponsibilitiesRoute to Market and Market ExecutionDeveloping competitive market penetration strategies
Developing strategic partnerships including Distributors, Depots and Outlet partnerships to support the scaling of the business
Contributing to the strategy process to take the business to new territories
Proposing innovative Brand activation initiatives for sales and market increase
Target Setting and Performance Management
Establish and sign off sales targets with Sales Team and Trade Partners, aligned with company annual business plan and Quarterly rolling estimates
Target setting to include all parameters /KPIs for each revenue stream: Business segment, regional goals and key accounts including Distributors and Depots
Ensure direct reports are capable, knowledgeable, equipped, and motivated to deliver their performance objectives
Ensure has up to date record of customer pipeline, customer visit reports, commitments, Data on Market share, competitor insights, customer service issues and business projections
Development of commercial strategy, annual business plan & functional budget targeting regions and establishing regional Distributors and Depots across the country
Development of Customer Joint business plan and Joint action plan
People
Ensure all team members have a signed performance contracts as per company policies
Ensure all team members abide to company policies, HR guidelines and process
On-ground motivation and coaching of Sales team members to handle challenges and competitive market barriers
Must embrace a strong safety culture for all team.
Customer Service and Delivery
Be the primary contact person for client management to ensure world class service delivery as of the company to market
Develop and implement innovative initiatives to streamline any common and emerging areas of complaints and grievances to ensure that the clients and partners’ expectations are met
Brand and Organizational Reputation
Build and protect the company’s brand equity and effectively manage customers relations with all the internal and external customers
Ensure all internal and external interactions reflect and in compliance to the company’s value system
Ensure all regional operations comply with regulatory requirements
Business Reporting and Routines
Ensure all team members attend scheduled meetings, with clients, partners and management updates
Ensure timely delivery of accurate
reports to CEO, as per stipulated templates, dashboards, formats and on time.
Ensure submission of high-quality fact-based reports, with actionable insights, volume analysis, ambitious and achievable projections
Collaboration
Drive high level of collaboration with other organizational leaders and associates to maintain cross-functional cooperation and synergy, that drive achievement of company goals
Contribute to the development of an in depth and detailed manual/ Standard Operating Procedures for the Department including protocols with detailed process flows both general and client specific so every step is clearly stipulated.
Budget Management
Exercise prudent cost management to maintain business expenses within approved budget
Manage customer debt through proactive invoicing & collections as per company credit policy, ensuring all customer contracts have secured debt and within approved credit limits
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a relevant field.
Master’s degree would be an added advantage.
At least 10 years’ experience in FMCG industry
Candidates between the age of 35-45 years are encouraged to apply
