Manpower Services Distribution Supervisor Jobs in Kenya

Distribution Supervisor’s basic responsibility is the management of the company’s distribution stores. This includes the inflow of all finished products from production and the outflow of the same to our customers OTITEF.

Stocks are to be managed on the Kaizen principle of FIFO, with ideal inventory levels being met, and a minimum 6s score of 75% at all times.

Responsibilities

Receiving products from production line and ensure proper arrangement and storage

Despatch of products to the various depots and customers as per the customers’ orders and within the agreed timelines

Responsible for inventory control, inventory reports and ownership of physical inventory and accuracy of stocks

Ensures that all product movements are accompanied with the necessary documentation as per the laid down policies

Ensure optimal inventory management in the warehouse including managing monthly stock takes, stock confirmation and reconciliation

Preparation and submission of reports for management decision making.

Maintaining proper storage conditions of inventory in the warehouse.

Ensure that the stores physical arrangement is adequate to facilitate easy picking and stock taking.

Ensuring fast turnaround of trucks during dispatch.

Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.

Maintains receiving, warehousing, and

distribution operations by enforcing the laid down policies and procedures.

Supervision of staff working in the department and assigning of tasks to ensure efficient utilisation of staff.

Ensure compliance to the health and safety requirements of the Company.

Developing and implementing stock distribution procedures and ensuring proper implementation.

Planning routes and scheduling for product deliveries.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics from a recognized institution.

Minimum five (5) years' experience in distribution and logistics from a reputable company especially in the manufacturing sector.

Good working knowledge and understanding of ERP systems
