Management Sciences for Health Human Resource Health Senior Advisor Jobs in Kenya


Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and technical oversight for the planning and implementation of interventions and mechanisms required for effective management of HRH systems in the focus counties and sub-counties.
  • The Senior Advisor is expected to strengthen human resource directorates in the focus counties and provide training in HRM to selected staff.
  • S/he will be responsible for achieving required project results through effective project planning and management, technical assistance, administration and oversight and monitoring and evaluation.
  • S/he ensures a comprehensive approach to workforce capacity development and provides programmatic leadership to ensure seamless planning, implementation of activities, and technical support, in close collaboration with USAID funded HRH Kenya Project.
  • S/he should have technical expertise and prior experience in HRH program implementation, and more specifically HRM, and experience networking with Ministry of Health and other key stakeholders. Previous USAID experience will be an added advantage.

    Qualifications

  • Designing and implementing HRH quality improvement programs.
  • Providing technical leadership to district health offices on HRH quality improvement activities.
  • Guiding and providing
    technical assistance to host county government staff working on HRH.
  • Interacting with donors, implementing partners, and host county government in HRH quality improvement issues.
  • S/he must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated leadership, ability to build synergies across technical disciplines and nurture innovative alliances.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required and fluency in Kiswahili. Willingness to relocate to Baringo and to travel within Kenya required.
