We seek to recruit for the position of Manager – Management Consulting Services.
Responsibilities
Consulting
The consultant will be expected to:
Be an all-round consultant and competently undertake consultancy assignments in human resource management, organisational development, strategic planning, business advisory and project management among others.
Manage the delivery of consultancy projects.
Inherent in this is ensuring that we offer clients creative solutions, well-matched with our capabilities.
Contribute to the development of the service by identifying opportunities for improving the value our services provide to clients.
Liaise closely with relevant experts, colleagues from other service lines within the PREA country offices to ensure the services we provide are high-quality and respond to client needs.
Grow and support the management consulting team to ensure quality in service delivery.
Task Management
Service consultancy assignments.
Lead and participate in client engagement.
Ensure that the service line practices, policies, strategy and services are fully aligned with client needs.
Maintain and develop long-term client relationships; acting in conjunction with other managers and the business development department.
Maintain time and expense records to ensure accurate invoicing in accordance with the firm’s procedures.
Task Delivery
Delivery of tasks for clients on time, on budget and to the highest standards.
The role will involve significant travel to client sites in Eastern Africa and beyond.
From time-to-time the role may require consultants to support in execution of assignments in other PREA Country offices, as and when required.
Business Development
Work with the Executive Director, Advisory Services and other service line managers and business development team to identify and qualify new opportunities for clients in the region.
Deliver or oversee consultancy proposals and responses to client requests in a timely manner and to a high standard to maximise chances of success both through direct proposal-writing and submissions to clients or assistance to proposal-writers in other service lines.
Contribute to marketing activities.
Participate in client meetings and develop long-term client relationships.
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
Strong management consulting and communication skills (including concise and accurate written skills).
Project management skills
Ability to rapidly build relationships with senior-level clients and other consultants regionally and globally.
Experience of working independently; a ‘self-starter’.
Knowledge of relevant international consulting standards.
Commitment to continuous professional development.
Excellent presentational and training skills.
Extensive management consulting experience in the region, working with international firms.
Qualifications and Specialist Skills
Educated to degree level – Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Finance or related degree.
Masters’ degree – MBA, HRM, Finance etc.
Appropriate professional membership or qualifications.
