The Vacancy

Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a Data Centre, ICT & Assets Manager to join our team in Kampala, Uganda.

The successful candidate will have:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Sciences or related discipline.

Good experience in the field of ICT software and hardware management.

Good experience in the field of data and database design, administration, and usage (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MySQL database, MongoDB).

Good experience of data input and capture technologies (e.g., ODK, Kobo).

Some knowledge of data analysis technologies (e.g., Microsoft Power BI).

A Post Graduate Degree in Information Systems Management.

Good analytical skills.

Good spreadsheet (Excel) and other office software skills.

Excellent organizational skills and abilities.

Ability to effectively manage time and resolve crises.

Basic familiarity with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Data Protection and Privacy Act Uganda and other relevant privacy regulations.

Willingness to learn the regulatory aspects of UK GDPR and other relevant privacy regulations (other countries)
