Position Summary:

The successful candidate will be to support implementation of the KP program with a focus on supervising the DICs, ACASI program roll out and providing oversite to the KP programs in hotspots. The candidate will support the MUWRP PEPFAR program to coordinate and monitor the quality of the KP program and integration with clinical and other prevention programs for improved reach and clinical outcomes of KPs.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Participate in program workplan and budget development.

Contribute to target setting for planning, implementation, and monitoring.

Supervise facilities and CBOs to provide comprehensive services for Key Populations (KPs) in safe and confidential settings.

Lead the establishment, monitoring, and utilization of data for the ACASI program to enhance KP program quality.

Collaborate with communication teams to promote PrEP and address access and retention issues for KPs.

Build networks with legal and law enforcement agencies to support KP sensitization and access to legal assistance.

Establish social and economic strengthening enterprises for KPs.

Compile and submit technical and performance reports.

Enhance tracking and reporting for the KP program.

Participate in data and service quality assessments and other required evaluations.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

A bachelor’s degree in social work and social administration, Development studies, social sciences or Humanities from a recognized University.

A minimum of 2 years’ working experience of implementing Key population programs.

Knowledge of HIV program policies and strategies that guide community and facility programs.

Personal attributes & physical ability:

Excellent written and oral communications skills.

Ability to work collaboratively and independently to achieve set goals.

Ability to meet very tight deadlines.

Ability to permanently reside in Mukono.

Ability to frequently travel to the MUWRP PEPFAR supported sites in Kayunga, Mukono, Buikwe and Buvuma Islands.

Ability to travel on water
