We are looking for a leader to have full responsibility, including cost ownership, for the physical execution of physical products (barge, rail, truck, intercontinental rail, last mile distribution and Inland locations) for Kenya and Uganda.

Responsible for the Customer interactions relating to delivery of all L&S products.

Key responsibilities

Responsible for Country intermodal P&L

  • Building on country strategic priorities, monitor and manage country intermodal P&L target
  • Manage performance and ensure targets are met
  • Ensuring execution of customer needs on physical products
    Responsible to drive intermodal and CHB execution towards customer
  • Building on country strategic priorities, defines country intermodal execution plan, business planning
  • Executes on physical product delivery, incl. issue resolution towards the customer
  • Ensures tools, applications and recommended processes are used within the
    team
  • Builds strong team with mixed competencies
    Responsible for Site Management
  • Asset optimization at the site
  • Smooth and seamless delivery of products
  • Meeting Maersk compliance and local regulations at the site
  • Cost control and leadership

    We are looking for
  • 10 years of experience, preferably in a large organization
  • Strong knowledge of local logistics operations and systems
  • Strong knowledge of market
  • Strategic planner
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Customer centricity
  • Managing operations in a warehouse depot or container yard
  • Deal with regulatory bodies
  • Process orientation
  • Cost drive
  • People management skills blue + white collar
  • Vendor relationship
