Job purposeTo provide organizational support in the implementation of monitoring and evaluation plans and frameworks for various LVCT programs and activities and operationalization of data
collection, aggregation and reporting.
S/He will also be responsible for data verification, entry and analysis of programs routine and periodic data.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Ensure timely and correct data capture, collation, analysis and reporting.
Support the deployment of (Electronic Medical Records) EMR systems to ensure smooth
running of the systems at the sites.
Ensure regular backup of the EMR data into SharePoint.
Support program data analytics and visualizations.
Conduct monthly regional program data review meetings.
Support quarterly routine data quality assurance in each site, perform sample chart
abstraction to ascertain the level documentation and supervise the implementation of the CQI activities related to site level data management.
Ensure accuracy of the data entered into the various reporting EMRs.
Track the use and versions of data capture tools at the sites and raise requisitions for
the tools when the numbers reach the reorder levels.
Provide technical support to the data clerks or data clerk mentees at the sites.
Provide technical support to program staff on the M&E related tasks and questions.
Provide capacity building sessions on M&E and ensure proper understanding of the indicator definitions.
Support the development and use of online trackers/dashboards and raise the attention
of the program team
to problematic indicators.
Respond to training needs of the site level staff as they arise.
Liaison between the sites and the sub-county health information officer and senior monitoring and evaluation officer
Support in collating adhoc data requests and in evaluations.
Attend all relevant monthly meetings.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Health Records/Health Management Systems/Computer
Science/Mathematics or any relevant course.
At least 4 years’ experience in M&E or Data management especially data from a comprehensive HIV prevention program in prisons.
Training and experience in database management and statistical packages such as STATA, Excel, and any visualization packages.
Demonstrated analysis, communication, interpersonal, report writing and presentation
skills.
Proactive, creative, systematic thinker and problem-solver.
Ability to work within very strict deadlines is a must.
Experience in implementing programmes and working with EMRs including reporting EMRs like KHIS, DATIM and 3PM will be an added advantage.
