Job Description
  • The Portfolio Analyst is responsible for supporting the management of the organization's investment portfolio.
  • They assist in the analysis and evaluation of investment opportunities, as well as monitoring the performance of existing investments.
  • The Portfolio Analyst must have strong analytical and communication skills to effectively support the portfolio management team.

    Responsibilities
  • Assist in the analysis and evaluation of potential investment opportunities, including financial modelling, risk assessment, and due diligence.
  • Conduct research and analysis on market trends and conditions to inform investment decisions.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and identify trends or issues that require attention.
  • Generate reports on portfolio performance and metrics, including risk and return profiles, attribution analysis, and exposure analysis.
  • Collaborate with other teams and departments to gather data and information necessary for portfolio analysis and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain databases and systems to track portfolio data and performance metrics.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for external presentations to clients or other stakeholders.
  • Support the portfolio management team in other tasks and projects as needed.

    Qualifications, Experience, and Attributed Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in investment management or portfolio analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed investment decisions.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis, including experience with Excel and other financial
    analysis tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and regulatory requirements.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes as needed
