Job Description
  • The Investment Analyst will be responsible for supporting the investment team in analysing investment opportunities and making investment decisions.
  • They will be involved in all stages of the investment process, from sourcing and screening potential investments to due diligence and closing transactions.

    Responsibilities
  • Conduct market research to identify potential investment opportunities and trends.
  • Evaluate potential investments by analysing financial statements, market trends, and other relevant information.
  • Prepare investment memorandums and other materials for presentation to the investment committee.
  • Participate in due diligence activities, including financial modelling and analysis, research, and data collection.
  • Collaborate with other members of the investment team to develop investment strategies and portfolio management approaches.
  • Monitor portfolio companies, track financial performance, and identify potential risks or issues.
  • Support the investment team in negotiating and closing transactions.
  • Maintain relationships with existing portfolio companies and develop new business relationships with potential investment partners.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly and annual investment reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices to support the investment team in making informed investment decisions.

    Educational Qualifications, Experience, and Attributed Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Master's Degree or CFA designation is a plus.
  • 4-6 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with financial modelling and analysis.
  • Understanding of investment concepts, financial markets, and
    investment strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise investment memorandums and reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and build relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to identify new investment opportunities.
