Job Description
  • The Business Continuity and Resilience Officer will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the organization's business continuity and resilience plans and procedures.

    Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of business continuity and resilience plans, procedures, and policies to ensure the organization can respond to disruptions effectively.
  • Conduct risk assessments and impact analyses to identify potential risks and the impact on the organization's operations.
  • Coordinate and participate in business continuity and resilience exercises, including tabletop exercises and simulations, to test the effectiveness of the organization's plans.
  • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of partnerships with external organizations, such as government agencies and vendors, to support business continuity and resilience efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on business continuity and resilience performance and progress to senior leadership and the board of directors.
  • Assist in the management of a team of business continuity and resilience professionals, providing support as needed.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training and awareness programs on business continuity and resilience to staff.
  • Participate in incident response and crisis management activities as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Educational Qualifications, Experience, and Attributed Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • 4 - 6 years of experience in business continuity and resilience planning and management, ideally from a complex environment.
  • Experience
    in supporting business continuity and resilience exercises and simulations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Knowledge of business continuity and resilience practices and principles.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of operational risk management, including risk assessment and mitigation techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
