Living Goods seeks nothing less than a disruptive reinvention of distribution in emerging markets, through networks of franchised micro-entrepreneurs who leverage Living Goods’ brand, buying power and mobile marketing tools to deliver vital products at accessible prices to the people who need them most. By combining the best practices from the worlds of micro-enterprise, franchising and public health, Living Goods is creating a fully sustainable system to improve the health, and wealth, of underserved communities.
Responsibilities
Visit villages in the areas assigned and conduct interviews
Collect data in the preloaded form on a smart phone for every village visited
Ensure accuracy of the data collected by crosschecking errors at all stages of data input to include visits to local area facilities e.g. health centers to verify distance from village
Travel to mapping areas on a weekly basis with the possibility of staying up to 4 or 5 days per week in the remote field
Work hand in hand with the Expansion Manager to ensure proper mapping of identified areas.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should be a university graduate.
Experience working in the field
At least a credit pass in Mathematics and English at O Level
Ability to cope with unpredictable field conditions
Familiarity with basic smart phone applications
Fluency in English and at least one or more local languages with a preference for languages spoken in Eastern Uganda

Living Goods Analyst, Innovations Employment Opportunities in Uganda
Responsibilities
Monitor and prepare reports on Uganda experiments.
Partner with the Innovations Manager to develop insights and case studies on innovations.
Share lessons learned to inform both implementation plans for each innovation, as well as for knowledge sharing with the broader health practitioner community
Compare performance of experiments carried out by the Innovations team.
Work closely with IT on systems.
Support analysis and internal and external reporting of our impact data and present progress and findings. Leverage insights from your analyses to drive our business model as we scale.
Analyze all Innovations quality control data and produce reports on a regular basis to determine the quality of the data we are getting and areas of improvements needed.
Support the Innovations Manager in modelling new innovative ways of working, and to determine measures of success of key experiments.
Create visual and written collateral to communicate impact data to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
University degree in Economics, Statistics or Computer Science preferred. Advanced degree a plus.
Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis of project/program level activities.
Strong analytic skills, able to identify a story and convey insights from the numbers.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment that requires excellent time-management and the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
Comfortable navigating large relational databases, retrieving and querying data.
Experience with statistical software such as STATA, SPSS or R required. Proficiency with business intelligence tools (such as Tableau or Business Objects) a plus.
Heightened communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Living Goods Designer Employment Opportunities in Uganda
Responsibilities
Conduct researches to understand our users' needs, configure our product to fit service delivery workflows within a particular health context.
Support
our project managers and partners in conducting high-quality design research as design is a shared core competency at Living Goods.
Create design tools and templates to assist teammates be equipped to carry out design work.
coach teammates through our design process before, during, and after project deployments.
Conduct sessions directly with end users to design workflows.
conduct UX testing on the product features, implement prototypes and inform our product roadmap.
Take technical responsibility of overall project design by ensuring end-to-end ownership of all technical aspect
Drive open communication across disciplines.
Qualifications
3-5 years work experience on a product team conducting user experience research and testing OR in a community-facing programs role, particularly in reaching vulnerable communities
Have some understanding of health service provision/ public health systems/ community health
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills in English
Willingness to learn and flexibility to work across a multi disciplinary team
Demonstrated ability to work remotely, under pressure and with limited supervision
Comfortable using different types of technology
Ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely
Demonstrate Intense attention to detail and quality
Experience in community-based field work with underserved populations or with ICT4D is
strongly preferred.

Living Goods Senior Advisor, Government Partnerships Employment Opportunities in Uganda
Responsibilities
Prospect and develop partnership opportunities to enable Living Goods to expand its operations either directly as LG or by offering technical assistance and support to partners, or indirectly by influencing policy and guidelines that other organisations and government are required to implement.
Develop and manage strategic partnerships with governments and NGOs in new countries that enable Living Goods to scale the impact of its proven community health outreach model.
Build the capability of LG to provide technical assistance to governments in both the development and implementation of community health policy.
Lead the design, implementation, and reporting on community health policy and advocacy activities with government in new countries.
Team up with LG’s Business Development team to prepare bids and proposals in response to government, foundation or other donor solicitation.
Research and stay abreast of trends and developments in health financing, both globally and in our target countries; innovations in community health work and bilateral funding opportunities (i.e.USAID, DFID).
Represent LG at external high level meetings, workshops and conferences.
As a member of the Living Goods Strategic Management Team, contribute to organization-wide strategy and discussion.
Qualifications
A minimum of 7 years of experience in strategic partnerships at senior management level with 5 years minimum experience in policy engagement with senior government planners.
Experience of providing technical assistance in the health sector.
Emerging markets experience, preferably in Sub Saharan Africa.
Background in management consulting and public health, a major plus.
Superior proposal development skills targeting large funders (e.g. USAID, DFID, Global Fund, Gates Foundation, corporates, etc.)
Experience of driving organizational strategy as member of a senior management team.
Exceptional quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
Master’s degree ideally in Public Health, Public Policy, Public Administration, Business Administration, or Law.
