Job Description/RequirementsThe Law Society of Kenya is a Premier Bar Association with membership of all Advocates in Kenya. The Society seeks to recruit the following vacant positions to enhance in its service delivery to members.
The position mainly entails attending to Advocates and Members of the Public and dealing with inquiries on the phone and face to face. Assisting with information regarding the Society to members, general public, clients and other stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:Man the front office and ensure all visitors are assisted promptly;
Maintaining an up-to-date filing system in the office;
Handling telephone calls and appointments, screening and directing calls;
Maintain appointment diary either manually or electronically;
Ensuring the security of office records, equipment, and documents;
Receiving, sorting, registering, and distributing incoming mails for the assigned department for action;
Respond to inquiries from the members of the public;
Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness;
Provide general administrative and clerical support;
Co-ordinate meetings and organize catering; and
Undertaking any other front office duties that may be assigned.
Required skills and experience
Diploma/Degree in any of the
following disciplines: Customer Service, Public Relations, International Relations and Diplomacy, Communication Management, Front Office or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
At least 3-year relevant experience in front office administration;
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel); and
Customer Service/Care experience is an added advantage.
