Lamu County Government Assistant Director - HRM Jobs in Kenya

Pursuant to Section 235 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and Section 58 of the
County Government Act 2012, the County Government of Lamu wishes to recruit
competent and qualified persons to fill the following posts:

  • Assistant Director - HRM

    Qualifications
  • Be a Kenyan Citizen;
  • Served in the grade of Chief Human Resource Management Officer l or its equivalent for a minimum period of three (3) years;
  • Master’s degree in Human Resource/Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Public/Business Administration, Government or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

    Responsibilities
  • An officer at this level will be responsible to a senior Assistant Director of Human Resource Management for planning, organizing, administration and control of the activities in Human Resource units;
  • Analyzing the utilization of the human resource in the Department and advising on proper deployment;
  • Making proposals on Human resource planning and succession management;
  • Analyzing staff performance and career progression and making appropriate recommendations;
  • Ensuring correct interpretation and implementation of human resource management policies, rules and regulations including those relating to pensions, salary administration, labour laws and other statutes that impact on the human resource.

    For candidates to meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of
    Kenya, allapplicants must obtain the following

  • National Identity Card
  • Academic: Professional Certificates and Testimonials.
  • Tax Compliance Certificate from KRA
  • Clearance Certificate from Higher Loans Education
    Board - HELB
  • Clearance Certificate from Ethics and Anti- Corruption Commission (EACC)
  • Certificate of Good Conduct from DCI
  • Clearance Certificate from Credit Reference Bureau - CRB

  • Applications should be in Hard Copy and delivered to the Office of the County
    Secretary located at Mokowe County Government of Lamu Headquarter Offices on or before 26th June 2019
  • Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce the original National Identity
    Card, Academic and Professional Certificates and other Testimonials.
  • Any form of Canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification
  • The appointment of members of the County Public Service Board shall be through
