Lake Basin Development Authority Manager - Partnerships and Coordination of County Affairs - Jobs in Kenya
Lake Basin Development Authority is a regional development authority established by an act of
parliament cap 442 of the laws of Kenya and is mandated to spearhead development within the Lake
Victoria basin and its catchment regions, with a view to fostering integrated sustainable economic
development and empowering communities of the region.
In view of this and as part of fulfilling our mandate, the following positions on a three (3) year renewable contract terms are open for application from qualified candidates.
Manager Partnerships and Coordination of County Affairs
Description of Duties and Responsibilities
Development and implementation of the LBDA Partnership and resource mobilization
Strategy in alignment with and support of the LBDA Strategic Plans
Monitoring and assessing the strategy at regular intervals to harness new emerging
opportunities, to identify probable changes to the internal direction and external
environment, and to make mid-term adjustments to the strategy
Identifying risks and opportunities related to specific partnerships, and suggesting
mitigation measures as relevant
Preparation of inputs on due diligence processes of potential investment and
partnership opportunities, in accordance with regulations and procedures of Kenya in
such matters
Development and implementation of locally-tailored partnerships and resource
mobilization strategies and initiatives
Contributes to dialogues with partners to improve development assistance status and
practice of the Authorities
Liaison and coordination with County government entities at regional and Headquarters levels, to help package and define LBDA business strategies, including differentiated value propositions to attract partners, both traditional and nontraditional
Identifying potential partners at local, regional and global level to support LBDA’s
initiatives and establish relations with potential partners.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, International Development, Business
administration, International Relations, Economics
or other relevant social sciences
degree from a recognized University
At least five (5) years’ experience in senior management position.
Ability to work in high-pressure, deadline driven environment
Outstanding leaderships skills and ability to delegate responsibilities effectively
Exceptional communication, interpersonal and reporting skills
Should demonstrate clear understanding of the role of Regional Development in line
with vision 2030 and the constitution of Kenya 2010
Must meet the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010
