Duties and responsibilities

  • Coordinating, managing and supervising the general administrative functions in village level;

  • Assists in dissemination and implementation of policies and development plans as stated in annual work plan and approved budget at village unit

  • Assists in developing and implementing county government activities to empower the community

  • Manage the administrative capacity for the effective exercise of the functions and powers and participate in governance at the local level.

  • Maintain infrastructure and facilities of public services within the village unit

  • Monitoring and evaluation of county projects at village unit

  • Ensure effective service delivery within the village unit

  • Coordinate development activities through citizen participation to empower the community

  • Exercise any functions and powers delegated by County Public Service and Administration through his/her immediate supervisors i.e. Ward Administrator and Sub county Administrator

  • Give alerts and assist in responding on emergencies and disasters whenever they occur;

  • Act as representative of the office of the Governor at all social gatherings and other meetings within the village unit.

    Requirements for Appointment

    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

  • Diploma in any of the following disciplines: - Public Administration; Business Administration Management, Community Development or any other Social Sciences from a recognized institution;

  • Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution;

  • Must be a resident of the Village Unit
    Working experience of not less than three years
