County Public Service Board
The County Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill in the following positions

1. Kwale County Government Senior Librarian Jobs in Kenya - Job Group ‘L’

Duties and responsibilities
An officer at this level will be required to take charge of a medium sized Library/Information Centre with a large establishment. Specific duties and responsibilities will include indexing and abstracting journal articles; operating a current awareness service (CAS); conducting information searches from electronic databases; editing reports, newsletters and other publications; selection and acquisition of information in consultation with other professionals and researchers; and coordination of staff work plans.

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-
  • Served in the grade of librarian for a period of three(3) years and
  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
  • Satisfy the requirement of chapter six of the constitution of Kenya 2010 on leadership and integrity

    Qualifications
  • Certificate in computer applications
  • Bachelor’s degree in either Library studies or Information science or their recognized equivalent qualification from a recognized institution or post graduate diploma in library studies or information science.
  • Management course lasting for not less than four(4) weeks

    2. Kwale County Government Manager, Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre Jobs in Kenya - Job group M (Vacancies (1)

    Duties and responsibilities
  • In charge of the Community Rehabilitation centre
  • Supervision of staff
  • Management of programmes in the rehabilitation centre
  • Staff discipline in the rehabilitation centre
  • Planning and Budgeting for the rehabilitation centre
  • Custodian of rehab centre equipment and facilities

    Qualifications and competencies
  • Bachelors degree in psychology/sociology/public health
  • Three years of experience in managing and planning of treatment and rehabilitation services with at least one year at management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, participatory management style and good communication skills
  • Certified addiction professional will be an added advantage
  • Excellent capability for judgment, management and problem solving skills
  • Excellent computer skills

    3. Kwale County Government Community Development Officer Jobs in Kenya - Job Group H. Vacancies (1)

    Duties and Responsibilities
  • Be a Community Development Officer at Ward or County level
  • Coordinate, supervise and administer Community Programmes at Ward level
  • Working with other staff at the Ward level in Social, Cultural and Sporting activities
  • Monthly, Quarterly and Annual updates
  • Manage Social amenities at the Ward level in collaboration with ward administrators
  • Secretary to the Cultural and Sports Committee at the Ward level
  • Secretary to the Youth and Women fund at the Ward level
  • Community mobilization in all Ward activities

    Requirements for appointment
  • Be a Kenya citizen
  • Must Have Diploma in Community
    Development/ Social Works, Guiding and counseling or a relevant equivalent
  • Ability to work with Youth, Women and Persons with Disability
  • Computer literate
  • Being a direct entry position, the age should be between 20 -30 years
  • Satisfy the requirement of chapter six of the constitution of Kenya 2010 on leadership and
    integrity

    4. Kwale County Government Assistance Fisheries Officer Jobs in Kenya - Job Group 'H'(1 post)

    Duties and Responsibilities
  • Enforcement of Fisheries Act(CAP 378) and related statutes,
  • Provision of Fisheries extension Services,
  • Collection of fisheries statistical data,
  • Assisting in ensuring hygienic fish handling at landing sites, markets and farms, Monitoring, control and surveillance of fisheries resources.

    Requirement to the appointment
  • Diploma in either fisheries management, Natural resources management or any equivalent relevant qualification from a recognized institution,
  • Certificate and knowledge in computer application skills.

    4. Kwale County Government Assistant Animal Health Officer Jobs in Kenya - JG H -1 Post

    Duties and responsibilities
  • Participating in animal health field demonstrations and agricultural shows
  • Participating in sample collection and dispatch
  • Inspecting livestock stock routes
  • Collecting data and writing technical reports
  • Demonstrating and training on milking techniques and external parasite control techniques such as dipping, spraying and dusting
  • Carrying out vaccination, closed castration, dehorning, ear tagging, branding, deworming, disbudding, docking, de-beaking and hoof trimming
  • Carrying out simple treatment of animals
  • Participating in disease search and reporting
  • Keeping records on animal breeding, animal health, milk production, dipping data and maintaining dairy units

    Requirements for appointment
  • Have a diploma in any of the following disciplines: Animal Health, Animal Health and Production, Environmental Health, Clinical pathology and laboratory diagnosis, poultry science, Veterinary public health and meat technology or animal husbandry from a recognized institution
  • Be registered by the Kenya Veterinary Board
  • Have a certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution and
  • Have shown ability and demonstrated merit in work performance and results
