Plastic Surgeon- V/FT/150/2022 – 2 PostsPosition Summary The Plastic Surgeon’s job exists to coordinate and provide specialized services, coordinate research and training and advise the hospital.
Duties and Responsibilities Outlining all the risks and benefits associated with the surgery prior to the procedure.
Performing consultations with patients who suffer from birth defects, injuries, burn wounds, or those who want to enhance their physical appearance.
Preparing patients for surgical and non-surgical procedures.
Prescribing medication like painkillers, antibiotics, and providing aftercare advice to patients.
Scheduling follow-ups to remove stitches, inspect incisions, and monitor the patients’ healing.
Handling various administrative duties like updating patient records and clinic policies.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution.
Master of Medicine in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from a recognized institution.
Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
Recognition as a specialist by the KMPDC.
Valid Practice License.
Professional Insurance Indemnity Cover.
Proficiency in computer applications.
At least one (1) year working experience as a Plastic Surgeon in a busy hospital.
