Position Summary

Electrical engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supervising the manufacture of electrical equipment, such as electric motors, radar and navigation systems, communications systems, or power generation equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare material schedule summary reports.

Installation and implementation of projects.

Provide technical design and implementation of project electrical installation system.

Production of Electrical designs drawings using AutoCAD or any other computer programs as
necessary.

Analyze and resolve design problems in a timely manner.

Be part of the commissioning and testing of electrical installation project.

Prepare electrical plans, technical specifications, line diagrams and other project documentations for management review.

Track project status regularly and ensure to execute projects within allotted budget and timelines.

Assess potential risks and technical challenges and accordingly develop corrective action plans.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University and a Minimum of three (3)years’ experience in estimating, budgeting and designing of electrical installation contracts.

Registration by Engineers Registration Board of Kenya, (EBK)

at least as a Graduate Engineer.

Proficient in AutoCAD and/or other engineering applications

Self-motivated, team player and ability to work within deadlines with high organizational skills.

Proficiency in Computer skills; and

Complied with the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010
