Duties and Responsibilities

  • Taking history of the patient

  • Conducting both individual and group psychological tests and assessment and providing appropriate therapy.

  • Developing treatment plans

  • Identifying patients with social psychological problem, providing psycho education to clients, families and caregivers

  • Prescribing intervention and possible referrals

  • Testing the efficacy of both psychological and biological interventions to promote the wellbeing of patient

  • Ensure use of all Hospital’s automated systems, as appropriate, including the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS)

  • Any other responsibility assigned by the supervisor in the delivery of care

    Minimum Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in either Medical Psychology, Health Psychology or any other relevant equivalent qualification in a health-related field from a recognized institution.

  • Registration with relevant professional body

  • Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.

  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

  • Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology or a relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.

  • Two years relevant working experience.
