One of our affiliates, a Regulated NWDT SACCO based in Nairobi is in the process of recruiting for a suitable individual to fill the position of Accountant.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for all financial matters relating to the society

Advising the CEO on the financial position of the society

Preparation of the SACCO’S monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.

Ensuring safe custody of all financial accountable documents

Ensuring all receipts are banked promptly

Reconciliation of bank statements

Reconciliation and maintenance of financial statements

Co-ordination of all financial issues and receipts

Ensure timely processing of creditor payments

Reporting on the SACCO’s financial investment matters.

Attend to any of the SACCO’s audit Queries.

Preparation of all statements of accounts, receipts expenditure and Receivables.

Agent to the SACCO Bank accounts.

Assist the CEO in preparation of annual budget

Recovery of society debts

Performance of any other duties that she/he may be assigned by CEO from time to time.

Qualifications and Requirements

Interested candidates should meet the following;

A Holder of a Bachelors’ degree in Accounting / Finance / Cooperative business

CPA K

5 years’ relevant working experience in a SACCO.

Minimum KCSE Grade; C+, Mathematics; C+ & English; C+

Computer proficiency in accounting packages
