Job Description

Our Company Kunis Bari General Trading PLC is a manufacturing company established by prominent health professionals and started its business operation in March 2014.

The company is engaged in manufacturing bottled water with brand name ‘’Sheger Spring’’.

Currently the company is one of the business entities that fulfill the parameters of adopting International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as per the schedule and roadmap of Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE).

Therefore, in line with the Ethiopia Government to adopt International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), according to proclamation No. 847/2014, it has become mandatory for Kunis Bari General Trading PLC, to adopt IFRS to meet its financial reporting requirement.

As one of the entities running business in Ethiopia, Kunis Bari General Trading PLC, has been registered by Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE) as a reporting entity

Therefore, Kunis Bari General Trading PLC would like to hire a consultancy firm that can assess and identify gaps and provide technical assistance/consultancy services in the adoption and overall implementation of IFRS
Objective of the Assignment

The assignment will have the following five objectives:

Conduct gap analysis on the overall current state/practices and procedures of Kunis Bari General Trading PLC and evaluate the impact of accrual based IFRS on the current state and recommend actions to be taken

To develop an IFRS policy framework and manual in line with the existing financial policies and procedures based on identified gaps and agreed areas.

Provide technical support on the conversion/implementation of IFRS to Kunis Bari General Trading PLC

Support the implementation of accrual basis of IFRS in preparing the annual financial statements.

Assist

Kunis Bari General Trading PLC with IFRS compliant financial statements until its submission of first audited IFRS compliant financial statement.

Job Requirements

As minimum basic requirements the consulting firm should have the following qualifications and experience to carry out the assignment:

General experience: at least three (3) years in the field of accountancy in public/ private sectors.

Specific experience: the consultant must have at least one-year experience in the field of private sector financial reporting standards (i.e. IFRS)

Special requirement: consultant should have experience with the study of similar assignments (IFRS).

Company /Firm/ Business registration certificate with AABE and other applicable government registering office

Renewed Trade License

The Technical and Financial proposal documents should be submitted in Two Separate Envelopes each sealed and stamped.

Late or incomplete bids will not be accepted.

Bidders must comply with the specifications/requirements. Selection will be based on best value and technical competency.

Kunis Bari General Trading PLC reserves the right to waive minor proposal deficiencies that can be corrected prior to award determination to promote competition.

Kunis Bari General Trading PLC has the right to cancel the bid (in whole or part), or can change the consultancy assignment, for the interest of Kunis Bari General Trading PLC.
