Kuehne Nagel Business Development Manager, Airfreight Jobs in Nairobi, Kenya


Your tasks and responsibilities
  • Use all possible market Intelligence to source for potential new or expanded Kuehne + Nagel business opportunities.
  • Create & implement business development strategy.
    Coordinates with sales department on overall Airfreight Development.
  • Prepare client approach plans presentation materials
    Schedule appointments with potential clients and Carriers to present Kuehne + Nagel’s product capabilities.
  • Works closely with Key Account Managers in Middle East & Africa (MEA) region to promote route development also from Europe.
  • Manage customer interactions from initial appointment through to the customer decision.
  • Work closely with Airfreight operations team as well as always providing up to date market information to the management.
  • Actively participate in carrier forums, business related exhibitions and workshops to build on market intelligence.
  • Participate in rate negotiations with carriers and pricing to customers.
  • Propose new ideas and concepts as to new approaches to the market as well as new products and services as it relate to the specific trade.
  • Drive professional service delivery to our customers to optimize on customer retention.

    Qualifications
  • 5 years’ experience in Airfreight
  • 3 years’ experience in Sales
  • 2 years International experience
  • Commercial Acumen
