Komaza Administration Manager Jobs in Kenya
About this roleThe Administration Manager is responsible for overseeing all the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of the Komaza headquarters and can lead strategic projects and events to improve the wellbeing of Komaza staff.
What you will doRecruit, train and manage office support staff, including Administration Assistants, Cleaners, Gardeners, Guards, and other personnel as needed.
Oversee all facilities activities and staff to ensure the office compound is maintained to a high level, including repair works and special projects.
Lead our relationships with landlords and other service providers.
Manage Security of the office facilities at all times by ensuring strict adherence to all safety procedures by our staff and security contractors.
Organize and engage with diverse staff and visitors at office reception, field visits, travel logistics, events planning, team building, and parties.
Manage and maintain inventory and stock controls over administration assets (office supplies, furniture, etc.), leveraging technology and systems to ensure that tracking is repeatable, scalable, and fail-safe
Keep detailed and up-to-date records of all administration documents including lease and rental agreements, supplier contracts, and staff work sheets
What you have
Bachelor's degree in relevant field, graduate degrees preferred
3+ years relevant experience including extensive experience in team leadership, office management, stock controls, record keeping, and administrative services
Supreme organisational, critical thinking, and communications skills with impeccable spoken and written English
Passion for Komaza’s mission to lift rural farmers out of poverty through the rapid scaling of our microforestry model

What You Will Do
Keeping and updating past and current records both in employee files and in the HRMIS
Leave management: entry of employee leave data and management of employee leave schedule.
Communication: providing regular updates to Komaza’s office and field-based staff on institutional and HR policy developments. Responding to all HR related queries from staff.
Field visits: makes regular visits to Komaza’s remote office locations to build employee relations
Employee safety, welfare, wellness and health: Ensuring that employees observe and comply with safety measures, incident reporting and other regulations.
Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of Kenyan HR Law and practice.
What You Should Have
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field
Minimum of 1-3 years post-undergraduate experience in a HR role
In depth knowledge of the Kenyan labour laws and related acts and HR best practices and innovations
Experience in organizations with a minimum workforce base of 150+ staff
Experience with BoP employees
Experience in white-collar as well as production environments
Start-up and/or Social Enterprise experience is definitely an added advantage

Komaza Field Manager Jobs in Kenya
A typical day might include:
Manage the Field Coordination Officers & Field Facilitators under your direct supervision and ensure that they are performing their jobs properly and effectively
Regularly visit the FEN staff when working in the field in order to check on the quality of their work and confirm proper execution of work tasks
Interact with sub-chiefs, village elders, and other community leaders and groups to secure support of and assistance with the project
Monitor & submit weekly reports to the immediate supervisor on the FEN progress and deliverables.
Oversee & manage the social marketing, recruitment, planting & maintaining of new & old farms in designated project areas.
Hold regular meeting and training with the FENs in their field offices.
Organize & train Field Officers & Facilitators in all required technical and behavioral job elements in order to successfully enroll & serve farmers, plant & maintain trees.
Lead social marketing efforts in your locations (attend barazas, parent-school days, churches, etc.) to enhance farmer mobilization, recruitment & enrollment.
This job might be for you, if:
You have good Computer skills in MS Office (Word and Excel), internet research and email
You can use a smartphone or tablet
You have a driving license with experience in riding motorbikes
You are motivated, detailed oriented & organized
You have experience in community mobilization, and experience in forming self-help groups for various projects is very advantageous.
You have good leadership, teamwork and communication skills
You are willing to relocate and live within your designated project area.
You have experience in the greater Kilifi and/or Ukunda or coastal area and preferably speak and understand Mijikenda languages
You have experience in training of trainers
