We are looking to hire a dedicated communication (social media manager officer) to join our team. The communications officer will support our internal and external communications strategy, write and disseminate publicity materials.
Responsibilities:Collaborate with management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on our partners.
Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, website content, annual reports, and other material that communicates the organization’s activities and services.
Establish and maintain effective relationships and maintain a media database.
Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the organization and its objectives.
Maintain records of media coverage and collate analytics and metrics.
Manage conflict as it arises and escalate to management.
Develop, support and promote organization goals, including message development, social media content creation and media outreach
Develop and disseminate public relations materials that increase our visibility among stakeholders and lawmakers
Keeping up to date with advances in social media technology and the latest social media platforms.
Ensuring that approaches to social media are relevant and appropriate for each medium.
Developing, editing a content calendar across all platforms ensuring a constant supply of relevant content.
Planning and delivery of community management strategies through social media.
Performs any other duties assigned by the project team lead/ manager.
Minimum Requirements and experience
Bachelor’s degree in
communications, journalism, or related field.
Minimum of 2-5 years’ relevant experience in a communications role.
Knowledge of desktop publishing software (InDesign/Photoshop).
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Good time management and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, content management systems, and social media platforms.
Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
Terms of Employment:
1 year Renewable Contract
Probation period for the first 3 Month
