Kitui County Public Service Board (CPSB) is a body corporate established under Section 57 of the County Governments Act, 2012 pursuant to Article 235 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

Section 59 of the County Governments Act 2012 outlines the functions of the CPSB among them being “appoint persons to hold or act in offices of the county public service including in the Boards of cities and urban areas within the county and to confirm appointments”.

Pursuant to the above constitutional and legal provision, Kitui CPSB invites applications from qualified persons to be considered for the positions below in the County Ministry of Lands, Infrastructure, Housing and urban Development :

Kitui County Senior Project Officer Jobs

Salary Scale:

Ksh. 39,110 × 1,790 – 40,900 × 1,870 – 42,770 × 1,980 – 44,750 × 2,050 – 46,800 × 2,380 – 49,180 p.m.

Terms of Service:

Permanent

Requirements for Appointment:

Be a citizen of Kenya;

Bachelor’s degree in Project Planning and Management or its equivalent from a recognized institution;

At least three (3) years relevant working experience;

Proficiency in computer applications; and

Master’s degree will be an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain crucial project documents which track project progress;

Manage the schedule by monitoring deadlines for each project task;

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and organize project meetings;

Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget;

Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility;

Ensure resource availability and allocation to agreed projects;

Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques;

Manage changes

to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques; and

Any other relevant duty as may be assigned by a competent authority.
