Kitui County Government Hospital Administrative Officer, Job Group “R” (1 Post) Jobs in Kenya
Duties and Responsibilities:Developing, implementing and monitoring procedures, policies and performance standards for medical, nursing, technical and administrative staff;
Directing, supervising and evaluating the work and activities of medical, nursing, technical, clerical, service, maintenance and otherpersonnel;
Monitoring the use of diagnostic services, in-patient bed occupancy, facility and staff to ensure effective use of resources and assess the need for additional staff, equipment and services;
Undertake manpower planning and coordination of staff development;
Institute an effective grievance handling system both for employees and patients/clients;
Ensuring compliance of the Hospital with legal and regulatory requirements;
Ensure prudent management of financial resources in accordance to the Financial Management Act, 2012;
Be the secretary to the Hospital Management Committee and ensure safe custody of the committee deliberations;
Take full responsibility for the management control, reporting and processing of all administration Key Priority Areas (KPAs);
Ensure health and work safety measures are in place to assure a safe working environment;
Any other duty as may be assigned by competent authority.
Requirements for Appointment:
Be a citizen of Kenya;
Bachelors degree in Management, Leadership or Strategic Management from a recognized institution;
Relevant working experience of not less than Ten (10) years in a senior management position;
Be a strategic thinker and result-oriented;
Capacity to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines;
Ability to work in a multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity;
Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the values and principles as outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya;
Relevant master’s degree will be an added advantage.

Kitui County Government Hospital Dental Specialist II, Job Group “P” (2 Post) Jobs in Kenya
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performing specific dental procedures including restorative, prosthodontics, peadodonticts, orthodontics, minor oral-facial surgeries, and periodontology;
Being on call to review and manage dental health patients;
Undertaking medico-legal duties which include filling of P.3 forms;
Undertaking dental examinations, age assessment, and writing dental reports;
Conducting outreach community oral health services;
Educating and creating awareness on prevention of dental diseases and dental health;
Supervising, training and coaching dental interns and students;
Ensuring that dental health reports are submitted promptly;
Coordinating capacity building and deployment of dental personnel;
Any other duty as may be assigned by a competent authority.
Requirements for Appointment:
Be a Kenyan Citizen;
Served as a senior dental officer for a minimum period of three (3)
Bachelor of Dental Surgery(DS) degree or any other equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;
Masters of Dental
Surgery degree in any of the following disciplines:- Paediatric Dentistry, Periodontology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Prosthodontics, Dental Biomaterials, Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology, Dental Anaesthesia, Forensic Odontology, Restorative Dentistry, Endodontics, Oral Implantology, Orthodontics, Aesthetic Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial /Dental Radiology and Community Dentistry or any
other equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board
Registration by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;
Valid practicing license from Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;
Training in Strategic Leadership Development Programme, lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution;
Demonstrated the ability and competence in organizing, performing and discharging dental function.

Provision of medical services to the sick or activities obtained in the health clinics and wards in the various hospitals;
Provide both formal and informal training to the other health personnel working under him.
Requirements for Appointment:
Be a Kenyan Citizen;
Have a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) degree from a recognized university/institution
Successfully completed at least one year of internship; and
Be registered as a Medical Practitioner by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
