Job Summary

The purpose of this job is to ensure that the welfare and wellbeing of boarders in the school
environment by providing close supervision, care, and guidance of the students, ensuring a high
level of hygiene and that the students have a safe, secure and nurturing environment in which
to live and study.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensuring the students' safety and security at all times, and responding appropriately in case of emergencies or incidents;

Supervising the students' daily routines, including wake-up and bedtime, meals, study times, and recreational activities;

Providing pastoral care and support to students, including listening to their concerns and offering advice and guidance when needed;

Provide new parents with appropriate information about the boarding house and applicable guidelines;

Maintain a record of all incidents at the boarding house including all disciplinary issues
and escalate where necessary;

Report any damage to the facility to the relevant authorities and investigate to establish
whether accidental or intentional;

Oversee the health of students and report any sick students to the Boarding Master for medical attention;

Maintain good communication with parents or guardians, and keeping them informed about their child's and wellbeing;

Encouraging and promoting

positive behavior and attitudes among students, and taking appropriate action when necessary to address any issues or conflicts that may arise;

Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the students, and ensuring that the boarding facilities are well-maintained and equipped with necessary resources and amenities

Perform any other duties as assigned by management from time to time.

Qualifications

Diploma in Housekeeping from a recognized institution

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
