Duties and Responsibilities

This entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a veterinary officer. Duties and responsibilities will entail:

General maintenance of laboratory facility and equipment;

Carrying out inventory of laboratory equipment and chemicals;

Receiving and recording samples into the data base;

Profiling of client details;

Laboratory book keeping and Stock Control;

Preparation of reagents;

Collecting and analyzing veterinary samples;

Installation of lab instruments

Requirements for Appointment ;

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: ~

Kenya Citizenship

Diploma in applied Biology or Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized training institution

Prior experience in veterinary clinical diagnosis will be an added advantage

Certificate in computer applications
