27. Assistant Director - Protocol Jobs in Kenya - JG ‘P’ (1 Post) - Ref: KSM/CPSB/2017/221
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Protocol, the holder of this office will be expected to assist the Director coordinate all official Government functions, and specifically will:
Plan, organize and coordinate County Government functions
Liaise with the national government and all other stakeholders to organize the National/ County Government functions
Keep the diary of Governor’s functions and effectively scheduling and managing county events
Provide briefings for meetings/functions
Streamline interactions with dignitaries and key stakeholders
Prepare and keep custody of official programs for Governor’s functions
Make efficient, effective and timely arrangements/coordination of all Governor’s/county official functions
Handle all aspects of visits, conferences, tours and social functions
Effectively liaise with media organizations and other stakeholders for successful events/functions
Draft routine official and social programmes correspondence related to protocol and events
Carry out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Competencies:
Be a Kenyan citizen
Be holder of a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Mass Communication,
Journalism, Public Relations, Corporate Communications or related qualifications from a recognized University, with five (5) years’ relevant experience at Senior Management Levels
A Master’s degree will be an added advantage
Must be flexible and tireless, with ability and willingness to work long hours
Must be fluent in English and Swahili. Ability to speak French, German and/or Chinese will be an added advantage
Must be familiar with the cultures and customs of the Kenyan communities and other nations
Must have undertaken senior management courses in Protocol, Public Relations, Communications/Journalism, Events planning, and Management etc.
Must demonstrate key milestone achievements, effective negotiation skills and ability to
network across departments and with key stakeholders
Must have ability to initiate and sustain excellent interpersonal relations
Must have excellent communication skills, with impeccable personal appearance and conduct
Must demonstrate understanding of and commitment to the values and principles outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya
Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya

28. Director: Governance, Ethics and Compliance Jobs in Kenya - Job Group ‘R’ (1 Post) - Ref: KSM/CPSB/2015/077
The Director will develop an effective governance, ethics
and policy framework, spearhead integrity programmes and oversee the institutionalization of ethical culture in the entire county civil service to actualize positive culture change and organizational behavior for sustained productivity.
Duties and Responsibilities:-
Providing guidance to management on the integrity and ethics programmes
Coordinating, supervising, monitoring and evaluating the county’s Integrity and Ethics
programme across all departments
Setting up corruption-prevention committees across the departments, sub-counties and wards
Ensuring adherence to and compliance with ethical procedures at all operating levels of the county
Nurturing relationships with relevant stakeholders to enhance awareness regarding corruption and economic crimes
Undertaking roll out, training and sensitization of all county staff on the public service values and
principles
Preparing performance indicators on the successes of the implementation of public service values and principles.
Developing customer awareness on corruption-prevention campaigns
Reporting and investigating of unethical practices in liaison with respective agencies
Preparing quarterly and annual reports on implementation and compliance with public service values and principles
Monitoring and reporting on the implementation of the County Code of Conduct.
Competencies
Must be a Kenyan citizen
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, with Diploma in Ethics/Integrity and Corporate Governance from a recognized institution
A Master’s degree in Corporate Governance with particular emphasis on management of institutional ethics and integrity programmes will be an added advantage
Minimum of ten (10) years’ working experience, five of which must be in senior management level in management of ethics and integrity programmes
Demonstrate capacity in successful policy formulation and effective implementation of public corporate governance, integrity, ethics and anti-corruption programmes in the public/corporate service
Thorough understanding of the legal, social and ethical framework of governance, ethics and integrity challenges
Strong communication and networking skills
Attention to detail
Excellent personal integrity and ethical standards
Drive for results and achievement, and ability to meet tight timelines
Commitment to the county’s vision and values
Excellent inter-personal relations
Excellent initiative and capacity to deliver with minimum supervision
