Duties and Responsibilities

This is entry and training grade for certificate holders. An officer at this level will be deployed at ward level.

Specific duties will entail: ~

Undertaking disease control activities such as disease search, vaccination and enforcement of livestock movement regulations

Participating in animal health and welfare extension

Collecting data and preparing reports on animal health , products and markets

Any other duty assigned by supervisor

Requirenient for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:~

Kenyan Citizenship;

Have a Certificate lasting not less than two (2) years in any of the following disciplines: Animal Health or Animal Health and Production from a recognized institution;

Be registered by the Kerya Veterinary Board; and

Have a Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized. institution;

Be a member of a veterinary professional association in Good Standing; and
