Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-

• A Diploma in Civil Engineering/Water Engineering or related field from a recognized institution.

• Be registered by the Engineers Board of Kenya.

• Have a Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.

• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

• Carrying out feasibility studies.

• Planning and designing water supply and sewerage infrastructures.

• Carrying out research activities in various aspects of water, sewerage and hydraulic systems.

• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
