Kidogo is a social enterprise that improves access to high-quality, affordable early childhood care & education in Kenya’s low-income communities.
We partner with local women (“Mamapreneurs”) to start or grow their own childcare centres through a social franchising approach.
We provide Mamapreneurs with training, mentorship and support tools so that they can give children in their care (0-4 years of age) the best start to life, while their mothers go to work for the day.
We support this work with 3 Early Childhood Centres of Excellence which demonstrate best practice in the community and serve as training facilities. For more information, visit our website: www.kidogo.co.
We are looking for an Early Childhood Development professional to coordinate our training activities for a network of 75+ childcare centres! .
Job Responsibilities: Understand Kidogo’s existing training modules inside and out and be comfortable delivering them to all audiences as a Master Trainer.
Oversee Kidogo’s Training-of-Trainers (TOT) program by ensuring all field staff understand the training material and are able to effectively deliver the content to Kidogo’s mamapreneurs & partners. Provide feedback and coaching, as necessary.
Coordinate all training activities across the organization to support the programs teams including arranging logistics, dates, materials and trainers
Identify gaps in training content
and revise / evolve training modules accordingly. Stay abreast of new training resources pertaining to young children’s development, and integrate them into our training as appropriate.
Identify gaps in Kidogo teachers’ knowledge and organize either in-house or external holiday trainings for them. Identify and manage external trainers to serve as topic specialists to supplement internal training capacity.

Job Qualifications:
Previous experience in delivering ECD training, ideally in lower-income settings (i.e., informal settlements)
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Early Childhood Development
Good computer literacy (email, internet, Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
English and Swahili fluency
Willingness to commit a minimum of 2-3 years
Previous exposure / certification on Nurturing Care Framework, Care for Child Development (CCD), and/or the Science of ECD (SECD) is a valuable asset (please highlight this in your cover letter)
Knowledge & experience on best practices in adult learning is an asset
