Duties and Responsibilities

The Studio Technical Operator will report to the Assistant Director Technical Services.

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

Assisting in the operation of various broadcasting and information equipment’s in radio/television/film studios, computer laboratories, engineering laboratories and dark room.

In addition, the officer will assist in the demonstration on the use of the equipment to the trainees and will work under the supervision and guidance of a senior trainer.

Requirement for Appointment

For appointment an applicant must have:

KCSE C-(Minus).

Diploma in Mass Communication, Media Studies/Science or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

Computer literacy; and

Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution

For appointment an applicant must have:

Passed the National Trade Test II certificate of the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and
