Duties and Responsibilities

The Assistant Engineering Technician will report to the Assistant Director Technical Services.

  • Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
  • Designing of drawings and specifications;
  • Installing electrical/electronic equipment; and
  • Maintaining electrical /electronic equipment and systems in the Institute.

    Requirement for Appointment
  • For appointment an applicant must have:
  • Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Registered by Engineers Registration Board of Kenya or relevant professional body;
  • Computer literacy; and
  • Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution

  • Passed the National Trade Test II certificate of the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and
  • Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution Interested applicants should forward copies of their application letters, academic and professional certificates, testimonials, up-to-date curriculum vitae and ID card to the address below to be received not later than 8th February 2019.
