Kiambu County Director Litigation and Prosecution Jobs in Kenya
The officer will be answerable to the County Attorney for the overall coordination of
litigation and prosecution.
Requirements for Appointment
Be a Kenyan Citizen;
A Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from a recognized university;
A Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Studies from the Council of Legal Education and
be admitted as an advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a current practicing
certificate;
Masters Degree in Law from a recognized University will be an added advantage;
Served for at least five (5) years post graduate experience, two (2) years of which
should be at a senior management level in the legal field either in the public service
or private sector or be a practicing advocate with similar experience;
Demonstrated managerial, administrative and professional competence in work
performance;
Be a member of Law Society of Kenya with good standing.
Duties and Responsibilities
Advising on civil and criminal litigation;
Advising on prosecution matters;
Coordinating and facilitating research on legal issues;
Analyzing research data and compiling reports;
Ensuring compliance with national, regional and international legal
documents/instruments;
Developing proposals for reform on emerging legal issues;
Ensuring compliance with principles and values of good governance, human rights,
transparency, accountability, ethics and integrity;
Any lawful other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
