Kiambu County Chief Superintendent - Mechanical Engineer Jobs in Kenya
Reports to Director Transport.
Requirements for Appointment
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical from an Institution recognized in Kenya;
Must be a registered Graduate Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya;
Knowledge of road vehicle standards;
Advanced computer skills (MS project, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and
MS Access and Engineering design software);
At least three (3) years relevant experience in the field of Mechanical
Engineering from a reputable organization;
Demonstrate a high degree of professional and technical competence in work
performance and results;
Be a strategic thinker and results oriented;
Satisfied the requirements of Chapter six on leadership and integrity;
Have excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain a comprehensive preventive maintenance schedule for plant(s);
Diagnose faults and ensure timely repairs of the county machinery, equipment
and its fleet of vehicles;
Requisition and verification of quality spares ordered both for machinery and fleet
maintenance;
Responsible for writing technical reports on plant and fleet maintenance;
Schedule timely statutory maintenance and repairs of county plant (s);
Installation and commissioning of new machinery.
