Kericho County Assistant Senior Health Records and Information Management Officer JG ‘K’ - Jobs in Kenya


Job Description and Job Specification:

a) Duties and Responsibilities

  • Editing patient cases;

  • Analyzing medical records data;

  • Updating bed bureau

  • Capturing data from service points;

  • Maintaining record safety and confidentiality;

  • Balancing daily bed returns;

  • Maintaining Patient Master Index;

  • Scheduling of patients to the consultants and specialty clinics;

  • Assigning codes to diseases and surgical procedures;

  • Indexing diseases and surgical procedures according to the International Classification of Diseases and Procedures in Medicine;

  • Compiling medical reports;

  • Sharing of health information with other stakeholders;

  • Analyzing data;

  • Compiling patients bio data;

  • Preparing medical records and reports.

    b) Requirements for Appointment

    For appointment to this grade, an Officer must have; -

  • Served in the grade of Assistant Health Records and Information Management Officer II for a minimum Period of three (3) years;

  • Diploma in Health records and Information Technology from a recognized institution;

  • Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution;

  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
