Qualifications:

  • PhD. Degree in the relevant field from a recognized University
  • At least twelve years of University teaching at Lecturer level, (5) of which as
    full-time Associate Professor.
  • Successfully supervised at least four Masters Students and at least two PhD. students since being appointed Associate Professor.
  • Published at least four articles in refereed journals, since being appointed as an Associate Professor.
  • Evidence of successfully applying for a grant either individually or as a group since being appointed as an Associate Professor.
  • Evidence of active participation in departmental activities and good quality teaching.
  • Evidence of attendance and contribution at learning conferences, seminars and workshops.

    Kenyatta University Chief Technician – Grade 12 Jobs

    Qualifications:

    Msc. Degree from a recognized University in any of the following areas of specialization.

  • Pharmacology
  • Toxicology
  • Pharmacognosy
  • Pharmaceutics
  • Pharmaceutical Chemistry
  • Phytochemistry
  • Analytical Chemistry
  • Medical Laboratory Sciences
  • Biochemistry
  • Medical Physiology
  • Microbiology
  • Ethnobotany
  • Applied Chemistry
  • Applied Biology

  • BSc. Degree from a recognized University
  • KCE Division II or KSCE mean Grade C+ (plus) and above.
  • Have at least five (5) years relevant working experience in a busy Teaching, Research or a Pharmaceutical Laboratory in a senior position.
  • Be computer literate
  • Demonstrate leadership and administrative skills.

    Candidates with a B.Sc. Degree in the fields above or their equivalents may also be considered on condition that they have at least eight years relevant work experience.

    Successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Supervise non-teaching staff in the department,
  • Participate in research activities in collaboration with teaching staff,
  • Organize and supervise practicals for both undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Carry out maintenance of the departmental equipment and facilities
