Kenya Youth Employment & Opportunities Project Jobs

The Kenya Youth Employment and Opportunities Project (KYEOP) is being implemented by the Government of Kenya. It aims to increase employment and earning opportunities to youth aged between 18-29 years who have Form Four education and below.


The Project will be implemented in a number of cycles over a 5 year period, with each cycle lasting 6 months.

Applications are now invited for Cycle 2 of the Project for youth residing in the following Counties: Kiambu, Kisumu, Kitui, Kwale, Migori, Mombasa, Nairobi, Nakuru and Turkana

Requirements:

  • Be between the age of 18-29 yrs
  • Should have a National ID
  • Have no more than Form 4 education
  • Do not currently have a job
  • Must be a Kenyan citizen What will participants receive? Proceed to either:

    OR

    Job Specific Training:

  • Attend 1 month Life Skills Training and Core Business Skills Training.
  • Attend 2 months Formal Skills Training followed by 3 months internship.

    OR

  • Join a Master Craftsman for 5 months Apprenticeship.

    Entrepreneurship Support:

  • Obtain training and support to start or grow your business.
  • Participants will Teceive certificates cm successful completion of the Project.

  • Bee keeping
  • Painting
  • Hospitality
  • Baking
  • Painting and decoration
  • Holticutural
  • Waste management

    Areas of Training Under Master Craftsmen:

  • Breadbaking
  • Hairdressing
  • Welding and Metal Fabrication
  • Agribusiness
  • Agro prosessing
  • Plumbing
  • Fashion and Design
  • Cleaning
  • Weaving
  • Capentry
  • Wood Work

    APPLICATION PROCESS:

  • Fill out an application form that is available online at mis.kyeop.go.ke or kyeop.nita.go.ke or mseauthority.go.ke/kyeop or at Ministry of Public Service, Youth & Gender Affairs sub-county office or the youth County office in the above mentioned Counties.

  • Application Period; 5th June, 2018 to 15th June, 2018.
