Kenya Wine Agencies Limited QSHE Manager Jobs;This position is responsible for defining and implementing the company’s quality, food safety, occupational, health, safety and environment Strategy to support KWAL in the delivery of its objectives through current and future operations while ensuring alignment to Heineken policies and standards and adherence to relevant legal and regulatory framework.



Main Responsibilities


Departmental Strategy formulation and implementation

Prepare, deploy and monitor implementation of QSHE departmental strategies, departments staff strategy and business plan aligned to the overall business strategy and Heineken strategy, policies and frameworks.

Drive key sustainability objectives in line with the Heineken and KWAL focus and strategy.

Conduct research on the evolution and future fit QSHE department in terms of Quality, Safety, Health standards, Sustainability programs and the necessary skill sets for personnel to achieve the desired future state.

Develop business cases to support new initiatives and present them to the management team for decision making.

Develop and roll out strategic QSHE initiatives including the overall QHSE plan subject to senior management approval, including audit schedules aimed at improving quality, energy, health, safety and environment across the company

Future fit departmental strategies

Achieve quality, energy, health, safety and environment standards across the business

Alignment to Heineken ways of working

Develop and Implement Budgets

Prepare, deploy and monitor implementation of QSHE departmental annual budget aligned to the overall business strategy and Heineken strategy, policies and frameworks.

Ensure that the department operates optimally

Quality Assurance

Guide the day-to-day quality control and end-to end assurance processes

Drive the trade quality strategy aimed at enhancing trust and maintaining a mutually reliable relationship between the company and its customers/ consumers

Ensure quality of all KWAL processes

Product Development

Manage the extrinsic for the process inputs

Develop, deploy and monitor the specifications for extrinsic including the update of the databases for any changes

Work with the commercial and technical teams on innovation and renovation projects for the brands

Collaborate with SHREQ functions in HBI and HB to deliver the Global Assurance mandates on SHE and Quality.

Food

Safety and Inspection

Implement food safety initiatives and overall HACCP plan in the company’s food chain.

Oversee the day to day testing/inspection of bulk storage, blended and bottled products to ensure conformance; immediate reporting of any quality or food safety deviations and implementation of any recommended corrective action

Continuous improvement/ TPM

Drive optimization and improvement of the QSHE work process

Entrench TPM2Win as the driving engine for the QSHE department

Enhance productivity and service levels aligned to business needs by creating an environment that challenges status quo and promotes innovation

Drive the utilisation of available automation/ digitization, ERP in the day-to-day operations of the QSHE department

Drive continuous improvement in all facets within the QSHE department

Embed a culture of continuous improvement

Minimum Required Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

Academic Qualifications

Bachelor’s of Science in Food Science / Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ or a related in Biological/ Chemical Science.


Professional Qualifications

Qualified Occupational Health and Safety practitioner- NEBOSH, IGC

Qualified EIA/ SIA assessor

Qualified Quality Systems Management

Project Management Professional (PMP)

Qualified Kaizen / TPM practitioner/ CI professional.

Certified ESG practitioner

Lead auditor OHS/ENVIRONMENT

Management systems- ISO 45001/14001

Lead auditor, Quality Management systems QMS

Lead auditor, FSSC 22000 V.6

Change management

Digital Data management- analysis and reporting

Workplace safety professional Association of Kenya- WSPAK.

PMI- Kenya

EIK (Environment Institute of Kenya)


Experience

At least 7 years, 3 years experience in management role in a manufacturing company
