Job Description

The Technician, KW8 will report to the Senior Technician, KW7.

Job Specifications

For appointment to this scale, a candidate must meet the following requirements;

Certificate in a relevant technical field from a recognized Institution;

Proficiency in Computer Applications;

Fulfill the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution.

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

Organize for practical sessions in the laboratory and workshops;

Maintenance of Inventory at the laboratory/workshop;

Analyzing samples

In addition to the above requirements, the officer must have the following key attributes and core competences;

Positive working attitude and ability to give and take instruction;

Creativity and innovativeness;

Professionalism and integrity;

Interpersonal skills including being a team player;

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Core Competences

Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary team of professionals;

Interpersonal and communication skills;

Knowledge in Laboratory/workshop safety precautions;

Knowledge in laboratory/workshop operations;

Computer literacy
