Job Competencies (Knowledge, Experience and Attributes / Skills)

Academic Qualifications

Master’s Degree in any of the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.

First level university degree in any of the following discipline from an accredited University/College: Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent/ qualifications combined with the required work experience may be accepted in lieu of the Master’s degree.

Professional Qualifications

Professional qualification / certification as applicable.

Relevant Shipyard management course.

Undertaken Management/ Leadership Course from a recognized institution.

Ability to understand and administer ABS Classification guidelines, USCG and SOLAS and IMO requirements.

Proficient in Computer application and computer aided applications.

Able to analyze and interpret technical information and drawings.

Previous Relevant Work Experience Required

Minimum 10 years of experience in managing ship maintenance projects three (3) of which should be in managerial position.

Ten (10) years’ experience in the Disciplined Services three (3) of which should be in managerial/senior command level will be an added advantage
