Job Competencies (Knowledge, Experience and Attributes / Skills)

Academic Qualifications

Master’s Degree in any of the following fields - Business Administration, Economics, Procurement and Supplies Management, Logistics or other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

First level university degree in any of the following disciplines from an accredited University/College Procurement and Supplies Management, Procurement and Logistics, Commerce, Business Administration (Supplies Management Option), Economics or other relevant and equivalent qualifications combined with the required work experience may be accepted in lieu of the Master’s degree.

Professional Qualifications / Membership to Professional Bodies

Professional qualification/certification in relevant field; preferably Transport and Logistics
Membership to a professional body either KISM.
Certified Supplies Practitioner by KISM or CIPS or both.

Undertaken Management/Leadership Course from a recognized institution.

Proficient in computer applications.

Previous Relevant Work Experience Required

At least ten (10) years’ working experience three (3) years of which should be in a managerial position.

Experience in global logistics, customs and transportation of maritime goods is desirable.

International experience in similar role will be an added advantage
