Job Competencies (Knowledge, Experience and Attributes / Skills)

Academic Qualifications

Master’s degree in any of the following fields: Communication, Social Sciences, Marketing, Business Management, or relevant qualification from a recognized institution.

First level university degree in any of the following fields: Communication, Social Sciences, Marketing, Business Management, Journalism or relevant qualification from a recognized institution combined with the required work experience may be accepted in lieu of the Master’s degree.

Professional Qualifications / Membership to Professional Bodies

A postgraduate Diploma in Mass Communication if the first degree is not in Journalism or Communication.

Professional management certifications/ qualifications as applicable.

Membership with relevant professional body where applicable e.g., PRSK, MSK.

Leadership/ Management Course from a recognized institution.

Previous relevant work experience required:

Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience three (3) of which should be in a managerial position.

Experience in developing, coordinating and implementing company’s communication and public relations strategy is desirable

A valid Clearance form from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
