Overall purpose of the job An officer at this level will work under guidance and supervision of a senior officer, the incumbent will be responsible for implementing the School’s communication strategies, policies and plans.
Job Specifications (Duties)
The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail: -
Assisting in reviewing print, electronic and social media for preparing press briefs and appropriate responses;
Assisting in recording and developing photographic images of the School’s activities;
Assisting in producing documentaries of the School’s activities;
Assisting in developing and updating web content and postings on social media;
Assisting in preparing and producing speeches, reports and other publications;
Assisting in preparing and maintaining up-to-date media contact database; and
Assisting in maintaining a library of publications and documentaries pertaining to the School.
Persons’ Specifications
To qualify for this position, the applicant must have: -
Bachelor Degree in Journalism/ Mass Communications/ Public Relations or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Proficiency in Computer Applications; and
Meet requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution.
