Job Summary:
The job holder will be responsible for the support and administration of Plan to Budget system which is on Hyperion Planning application.
Operational Responsibilities
Creating and maintaining financial reports.
Developing and maintaining Hyperion applications artefacts.
Expanding Hyperion Planning implementation to meet dynamic requirements.
Ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Providing training to end users.
Resolving end user support requests.
Advising on best practices for business processes and technology.
Maintain and develop dimensions, hierarchies, partitions, business rules, load rules, data transfers and user security.
Ad-hoc reporting support.
Analyze, manage, develop and maintain Essbase cubes.
Write and maintain calculation scripts, shell scripts and MAXL scripts.
Maintain the performance of all databases by calculating optimum values for database parameters; implementing new releases and patches; completing maintenance requirements.
Provide monthly Hyperion Planning Plus system reports for easy auditing of the databases.
Coordinating installation requirements and also maintain updated database and application documentations.
Recommend solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security and data back-up for easy recovery specifications.
Install revised or new systems by proposing specifications and flowcharts; recommending optimum access techniques and coordinating installation requirements.
Prepare users by conducting training; providing information and resolving problems to facilitate them in their operations
Academic qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software engineering or an equivalent from a recognised institution.
Professional qualification
Certified Hyperion Professional for Hyperion Planning.
Knowledge
Level of knowledge applied to the job
Conversant with public finance
regulations.
Understanding of other Hyperion Reporting products such as Hyperion Reports.
Strong experience with administration and development of Hyperion Planning and Essbase.
Solaris and Windows Server maintenance.
Experience with Hyperion EPM 11.1.2.4
Soft skills
Ability to communicate and work with both technical and non-technical team members.
Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, teamwork, and issue resolution.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Ability to lead and manage teams.
Problem solving skills.
Relevant Experience Required
5 years of service in a comparable position from a reputable organization or 5+ years operational public sector planning and budgeting experience.
