The Strategic & Corporate Planning Manager will be responsible to the General Manager Research Planning Compliance & ICT for updating and enhancement of strategic policy initiatives and
Government priorities in line with the MTPF guidelines. The Key tasks will include and limited to:

Overseeing the facilitation of economic studies as part of the rail
design and tender documentation process;
Building capacity for economic analysis related to transport and coordinating economic reviews of the rail projects;
Establishing and maintaining linkages with Consultants and other Stakeholders on economic matters;
Overseeing the preparation of annual work programmes and budgets for rail planning and development;
collating data related to implementation of the Corporation Strategic Plan;
Overseeing economic studies as part of the rail design and tender documentation process;
Undertaking economic reviews of the rail projects;
Preparing terms of reference for economic surveys and facilitating
implementation of related recommendations;
liaising with Consultants and other Stakeholders on economic matters;
Overseeing preparation of annual plans for the Corporation and realigning it to the budget;
Undertaking economic analysis of investments, programmes and projects;
Qualifications
Masters Degree in any of the following disciplines: - Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Project Management,
Monitoring & Evaluation or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: - Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Project Management,
Monitoring & Evaluation or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
A minimum of ten (10) years experience in relevant work and at least three (3) years in a management position;
Be a member of a relevant professional body / institution where applicable;
Certificate in Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
Proficiency in computer applications;
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution;
Demonstrated competence in work performance.

Kenya Railways Planning, Design and Environment Manager Jobs Opportunities
The Planning, Design and Environment Manager will be responsible to the General Manager Infrastructure Development for all matters related to infrastructure and physical planning, design of rail infrastructure and
non-rail including environmental and social issues under the jurisdiction of the Corporation. The key tasks will include but not limited to:
Responsibilities
Overseeing the preparation of associated rail infrastructure development and control ;
Overseeing the formulation of railway asset management policies;
Overseeing the preparation and implementation of annual procurement plans for railway works;
Ensuring expenditure controls and measures within the Division;
Overseeing the implementation of railway works emergency response programmes,
Overseeing preparation of tender documentation for railway works;
Coordinating the processing of rail works tenders;
Ensuring the implementation and conformance of railway management systems and periodic reviews of the performance standards;
Re-possessing illegally acquired railway reserves;
Participating in the planning of other rail associated infrastructure developments through institutional consultations and collaboration;
Undertaking public sensitization on protection of railway reserves;
Qualifications
Master Degree in Civil /Electrical /Mechanical
/Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Bachelor degree in Civil
Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in relevant work and at least three (3) years in a management role in the Public Service or in the Private Sector;
Registered by Engineers Board of Kenya as a professional Engineer
Valid Annual Practicing License from the Engineers Board of Kenya.
Certificate in Project Management.
Certificate in Leadership Course for at least four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
Membership of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK).
Proficiency in computer applications.
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution;
Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Kenya Railways Administration Manager Jobs Opportunities
The Administration Manager will report to the General Manager Human Resources & Administration for provision of administrative
support services to the Corporation to maximize on service delivery and support the efforts towards the achievement of corporate goals.
The key roles will include and not limited to:
Responsibilities
Formulating and reviewing administrative policies
Overseeing the management of service contracts and service level agreements for outsourced services;
Ensuring provision transport services
Ensuring records management is provided in compliance with the Legal provisions and Corporation quality standards
Ensuring provision of all auxiliary and housekeeping services
Overseeing the process of acquiring new service providers related to all outsourced services falling under administration
section;
Ensuring travel clearance, visas and other necessary travel documents for the Board of Directors and staff travelling out
of the country on official duties are done promptly
Developing departmental budgets
Monitoring budget expenditure and provide guidance to Administration Section on financial discrepancies;
Forecasting administrative staff needs for the Section;
Formulating and implementing Records Management policies
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: - Public/Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, or any other relevant
equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution.
Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Public/Business Administration, Transport and Logistics
Management, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Political Science, Sociology or any other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution.
A minimum of ten (10) years relevant work experience and at least three (3) years in a position of Assistant Administration
Manager or equivalent in the Public Service or in the recognized organization;
Leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution;
