Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsuring market analysis is done to identify available gaps;
Developing and Reviewing marketing strategies in line with the marketing work plan;
Developing and reviewing of promotional materials;
Coordinating the production and distribution of promotional materials
Coordinating Participation in trade fairs and exhibitions both locally and internationally;
Participating in Coffee auction;
Coordinating development of market survey instruments;
Make recommendations based on the market survey findings;
Coordinating requests from coffee dealers for direct sale;
Coordinating maintenance of the e-commerce trade platform;
Coordinating collection and delivery of coffee samples for direct sale;
Coordinating preparation and issuance coffee warrant;
Coordinating preparation of documentation for shipment;
Coordinating and analyzing the Marketing and Sales report;
Coordinating partnerships and agencies both locally and internationally for future business growth;
Identifying gaps and bottlenecks in the coffee value chain in their area of operation;
Coordinating customer satisfaction surveys;
Overseeing the implementation of the appropriate actions;
Coordinating implementation of policies, standard operating procedures and guidelines;
Organizing meetings with potential strategic business partners giving company offer and negotiating the deal; and
Prioritizing budgetary need and requirements and ensure prudent use of allocated funds.
Requirements
At least fifteen (15) years’ work experience five (5) years of which should be at a management level;
Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Marketing, Business
management, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Masters Degree in any of the following disciplines: Marketing (marketing option), Business management, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Membership to a professional body; Marketing Society of Kenya or Chartered Institute of Marketers or any other related field;
Certificate in a Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
Proficiency in Computer applications; and
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution. Applicants with indepth understanding in the coffee value chain specifically in international coffee trading and marketing experience will be an added advantage.
