Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinating certification and calibration of weighbridge and platform scales;
Ensuring that primary data is properly maintained;
Coordinating milling requirements;
Analyzing reports on the graded coffee from the branches in readiness for marketing;
Coordinating the implementation of health and safety regulations for branches;
Coordinating repairs and maintenance of production machines;
Reviewing data and performance reports to determine productivity and achievement;
Coordinating the development and implementation of operations guidelines, policies and strategies;
Prioritizing budgetary needs and requirements and ensure prudent use of allocated funds;
Overseeing the implementation of production standard operating procedures;
Overseeing implementation of ICO quality standards issued from time to time; and
Overseeing maintenance on production machine’s efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
A minimum period of twelve (12) years relevant work experience, five (5) years of which should be in a supervisory position.
Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines: - Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Science and Technology, Biomechanical and Processing Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Masters degree in any of the following disciplines: - Operations Management, Industrial
Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Membership in a professional body where applicable;
Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
Proficiency in Computer applications; and
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
Applicants with in-depth understanding in the coffee value chain specifically in international coffee trading and marketing experience will have an added advantage.
